The Ethiopian Cultural Centre gives the evening its own character. Artwork, warm cultural details and the aroma of traditional coffee create a setting that feels distinctive without making the meetup formal. Conversation is allowed to develop naturally around travel, life in Delhi, food, culture and whatever the people at the table bring with them.

What to expect

Meet at the venue

Arrive at the Ethiopian Cultural Centre a few minutes before 5:00 PM. The host will share the meeting point and any last-minute entry details with confirmed guests.

Say hello

Look for The Travelling Table group when you arrive. Most people come on their own, so you will not be the only person meeting everyone for the first time.

Experience the setting

Notice the Ethiopian artwork, cultural surroundings and coffee traditions while enjoying the space. You can order anything you would like from the venue and pay for it individually.

Go with the flow

There are no forced introductions, pitches or networking exercises. Join the conversation when you feel comfortable, listen for a while or ask about life and travel in Delhi.

Directions to the Ethiopian Cultural Centre

Use Ethiopian Cultural Centre, 7/50 G, Niti Marg, Chanakyapuri as your destination in your maps or cab app. Open the venue in Google Maps.

By metro

The simplest option for many guests is the Yellow Line to Lok Kalyan Marg, followed by a short auto or cab ride to the Cultural Centre. Tell the driver the full Niti Marg address rather than only saying Chanakyapuri.

You can also travel to Sir M. Vishweshwaraiah Moti Bagh on the Pink Line and continue by auto or cab. Walking from the station takes roughly 25 minutes, so a short ride is usually more comfortable.

By bus

Akbar Bhawan is the closest commonly used bus stop, around a four-minute walk from the venue. Routes and timings can change, so check your preferred transit app before leaving.

By cab or auto

Search for the full venue name and check that the destination shows 7/50 G, Niti Marg. Chanakyapuri contains many diplomatic properties, so allowing a little extra travel time is useful.

Before you come

  • Book only if you genuinely plan to attend; places are limited.
  • If your plans change, cancel your booking so someone else can take the place.
  • Pay for your own food and drinks directly at the venue.
  • Keep the table free from marketing, pitching and unwanted promotion.
